What a Tangled Mess We Weave, When We Attempt To Love

I am convenient,
An attractive distraction,
While you wait,
For something better.

You reject
what little
I have to offer,
And make me feel
like I should apologize
for loving you.

I thought
If I loved you enough
Someday, you’d love me back.

But I now realize,
the folly of loving
someone who
doesn’t want to be loved.

beg to differ, …sad , frustrating, maybe but if true love, surely acceptance comes in somewhere…maybe the folly is on the others part though for not recognisin the rarity of love
