Missing Some

Missing some fun

Missing you
and your “little dog too”

Missing the way you watch
without looking

Missing the free hot water and
the lack of clocks

The stove that misfires
the cooking that does not

The noise on the street
(siren songs and “I will fuck you up!”)

The pad of doggy paws and the
paddle of my dogged feet

Upon your worn
wooden floor

Missing the more
of you

Wanting to be sure
of you

Touching the core
of you

The fun the dog the tub the food the floor
The noisy heart and beating soul of who

Are you
You, who

Miss nothing
least of which has been me

Missing some

of you…
